Hello & thanks for taking the time to look at my website.

 

My name is Steve Houghton and I'm a wildlife photographer based in Leicestershire.

I was born in the county and have a real passion for the natural world & the beauty of nature, I'm never happier than when I'm out in the countryside with my cameras.

I started taking photos seriously in my late teens in the days of 35mm film, I made the change to digital back in 2002, the flexibility & creativity that the medium gives has helped me to expand my interests out into other areas of photography firstly aviation then more recently landscapes.

I take an ethical approach to my wildlife photography, I firmly believe that the welfare of my subject comes first and the image comes second, years of accumulated knowledge & good fieldcraft allows me get images of wildlife without causing any undue disturbance or distress.

 

The purpose of this website is to showcase a small selection of my images that I feel would make great prints or canvases.

Rather than list prices, sizes etc.. I'd ask that anyone who would like to purchase one of my images to use the contact section to deal with me personally, that way we can discuss what you'd like and I can hopefully provide you with a product that you'll be really happy with at an affordable price!
